Alice Thorner : ウィキペディア英語版 | Alice Thorner
Alice Thorner (USA?, 1917 – France, 24 August 2005) was an American-born social scientist and statistician whose main research effort seems to have been partly devoted to the role assigned to women in the Indian society. ==Early years== Alice Ginsburg was born in New York (''Needs verification''. Some sources suggest that she was born in Latvia and moved to the USA when young.) in 1917 and met a future husband and coworker of her named Daniel Thorner while graduating from Columbia University. A family of her may even have been forced to turn her maiden name into Gaines due to a slight rise of American antisemitism in the thirties.
